Sanity Shield does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

What the extension does

The extension reads the text and images on web pages you visit to detect football-related content. This processing happens entirely on your device. No page content is ever sent to us or any third party.

External API calls

The extension makes periodic requests to api.football-data.org to retrieve your team's latest match result. These requests contain no user data — only a request for publicly available match information.

Local storage

The extension stores the current blocking state (active or inactive) in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. This data never leaves your device.

Permissions explained

• Read and change all your data on all websites — required to detect and blur football-related content on any website you visit.
• Tabs — required to notify all open tabs when a new match result is detected, so blocking updates immediately without needing to reload pages.
• Alarms — required to schedule the periodic result poll (every 30 minutes).
• Storage — required to save blocking state locally on your device.

Third-party services

Match data is sourced from football-data.org. Their privacy policy applies to requests made to their API. No other third-party services are used.
